I started a soft furnishings course last week and we are making a roman blind, we have only managed to cut all the bits out so far, but that was hard enough! The other ladies on the course are lovely and are also beginners like me which is good.

I bought myself some books to help me learn the basics.


All I need now is the time to fit it all in!!

crocheting!

Well I finally got round to doing some crocheting after being taught a few months back. I am only doing really basic stuff. I'm really pleased with it for a first attempt. The thing I'm not very good with is getting the tension consistent, but I'm learning.

Well I did a pamper evening last night and I had a table for my cards, I have never sold any pulically before so was very nervous. My mum was manning the stall for me and not many cards were sold, but my mum said there seemed to be a lot of interest but people wern't really buying off any of the stalls at all and were all spending their money on the treatments. I don't feel too disappointed as it was really a feeler and I have learnt a few things from it.

Took the girls to 2The 0-5 Show at the Detling show ground today to meet Dora the explorer. They didn't enjoy the queueing and were a little nervous of Dora herself at first but after saying hello they didn't want to leave her!

They had a stall at the show selling Nappy cakes, now I really fancy having a go at one of these and i might attempt one for my cousins baby that's due in November. I think they make a lovely gift.

Hello again, well its been very miserable this week, hasn't it?
Not really done too much apart from housework. Managed to make a few cards today ready for the pamper evening on Friday that i have a stall at. I'm very nervous about it, I have only ever sold my cards to my mum before!

Took the girls to a toddler group yesterday afternoon and I think it is one of the best ones I have ever been too, there were various toys which were all very clean! They also had an Art and craft room which my girls loved, an outside area, which unfortunately didn't really get used as it started to rain and music and story time. It was great.

So thats about it really.

Childless day

Today my son was at his dads and my boyfriend took the girls out for the day. So this morning I did a facial for my sons Nan. On the way home I stopped off at the local craft shop to get a few little bits including some of the new forever friend stickers.

I then had an afternoon to myself making cards, it was lovely i must say. I will take some pics to add on here tomorrow.

I need to go to bed soon as I have to get up early tomorrow to do a bootsale!!
