potato stamping

Thats what the girls have been up too, I sat there cutting all the shapes out of the potatoes ready for the fun ahead. They really enjoyed themselves, they love painting but I don't let them do it very often because its too messy!
I like them to do it in the summer when I can strip them off and let them paint in the garden.

Country living magazine christmas show

Well today my mum, dad and myself went along to the country living magazine Christmas show in Islington. Although it is only a small venue there was still lots to see and some beautiful things to buy. We all had a good day. My dad especially loved the food exhibitors that were giving free samples and he definitely made the most of the cheese and Turkey ones.

Talking about my dad... he is a very talented musician and he plays a number a different string instruments. Last night was his guitar clubs concert. It was a really lovely evening and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Forgot to take my camera so unfortunately I don't have any pictures.

Where have I been?

Has it really been that long since I blogged? Sorry.
I have got myself a christmas tempory job in a shop, 3 evenings a week and a Saturday, So I have no time to do anything because evenings is usually when I get to do my bits. Nevermind I will just have to be super organised.

Books!

I started a soft furnishings course last week and we are making a roman blind, we have only managed to cut all the bits out so far, but that was hard enough! The other ladies on the course are lovely and are also beginners like me which is good.

I bought myself some books to help me learn the basics.


All I need now is the time to fit it all in!!
